India Visa Information - Srilanka - All about your Visas

	Duly filled online visa application (in prescribed format) should be submitted along with following documents.
	recent color photographs size of 2 inch X 2 inch (about 50mm X 50mm) , showing full frontal view of face against a White background, to be pasted firmly on the application form. Scanned photographs are not acceptable.
	Valid current passport (at least 6 months validity with 2 adjacent blank pages for affixing visa and Immigration stamp) and previous passports. Non- production of previous passports can result in delay/refusal of visa. Photo on the Passport and Form must tally with applicant's present appearance. The applicant may face risk of deportation by authorities in India on arrival if the photograph does not match with his/her appearance.
	Copy of N.I.C. card or Birth Certificate (For Sri Lankan nationals only) should be enclosed.
	No objection letter from either of the parents if the child is traveling with one parent or, both parents should sign the visa application form..
	Additional documents are required depending upon the type of visa applied for.
	Correct visa fees payable by cash. Fees need to be paid by Srilankan rupees only. (Please see Fee schedule for details). Visa fees may be changed without notice.

PROCESS

Step 1

Click, “All About Visas”. Confirm the visa type based on your reason for travel; do not make any confirmed bookings

Step 2

Complete your application online . Please note that on and after 25th March 2011, no previous versions or handwritten forms will be available on the website or accepted at any of the India Visa Application Centers.

Step 3

The application has been completed online you must download & print all form/s, read and complete Checklist

Step 4

Check fees payable, and documents required. All such details can be found in the respective visa categories under the section All About Your Visas.

Step 5

Sign form/s at all indicated places

Step 6

Ensure photos are strictly as per specifications

Step 7

Attach all supporting documents required as per the Checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

Step 8

Submit your Application along with the passport and required documents at any of our India Visa Application centres in Srilanka by person to the respective Jurisdiction.

Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the visa application centres/High Commission of India.
